The Re-Imagining Race Initiative


“To get something that you’ve never had, you must be willing to do what you’ve never done. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem. There are no in-betweens.”

The Re-Imagining Race Initiative is designed to approach race in a different way in order to get different results.

The Re-Imagining Race Initiative will bring community leaders together through public forums at designated Indianapolis organizations. The Initiative will also help support the sustainability of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee’s longest running subcommittee, the RCRLN.

The initiative is comprised of the components:

  1. Engagement
  2. Education
  3. Eradication

Engagement

Identify and recruit ideal leadership prospects determined to have the qualities conducive to learning a new thought paradigm in addressing the social impact of race.

Education

Preparing future leadership prospects in facilitating community forums in application of an evidence based thought paradigm.

Eradication

Quantifiable reduction/eradication of adverse systemic and social impacts resulting from race.
